Temescal Wellness is a multi-state portfolio of cannabis companies. We operate dispensaries, we cultivate cannabis plants, we manufacture products, and we develop product brands. We expand access to consistently high-quality cannabis products for qualifying patients and adult-use customers.

Founded in 2015, Temescal is privately-held and, as of January 2018: runs two dispensaries and a cultivation-and-manufacturing facility in New Hampshire; runs one dispensary and a cultivation-and-manufacturing facility in Maryland; is building-out a cultivation-and-production facility and three dispensaries in Massachusetts; and holds active ownership positions in two, revenue-generating cannabis product companies. Temescal Wellness will continue to expand its product brands, and its cultivation, manufacturing and retail locations nationwide.

Additional Information:

Candidates should submit a resume and cover letter showing track record of achieving the results envisioned in this job description, preferably in another, high-growth, highly-regulated industry (e.g., health care, security / law enforcement, financial services, food and beverage manufacturing).

Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
  1. Comply with all applicable government regulations and Company policies and procedures, and ensure accountability for same among staff, including sanitation, security, workplace safety, confidentiality, and seed-to-sale software requirements, among others.
  2. Engender a positive, “start-up-ready” culture among all teammates of excellence, analytical rigor, polite persistence, and respectful candor.
  3. Serve fellow employees as an in-house expert on state regulations. Provide research and analysis, balancing the requirements of regulators, the operating needs of the business, and the preferences of patients.
  4. Assist with employee on-boarding, and with subsequent renewals, including:
    1. State-specific background checks, drug tests and fingerprints
    2. Company background checks
    3. Employee emergency contact info, I-9 and copies of IDs
    4. Employee acknowledgements (e.g., Handbook, company policies)
    5. Coordinate enrollment in employee benefits
  5. Coordinate various other items for new employees (e.g., building access controls, such as key fobs; business cards; email and digital calendar accounts).
